This line has skyrocketed since we looked last night. Now sitting at around the -160 mark, this one last night was at -138 on DraftKings. It's Game 2 of this series between the Padres and the Pirates with the Padres taking Game 1 last night 6-0. Tonight it is Michael King for the Padres and Marco Gonzales for the Pirates.

Michael King has been lights out on the road for the Padres this season and holds an 8-2 on the road with a 2.62 ERA and has allowed 2 ER or less in 5 straight starts and 10 out of his last 11. His last start came on the road in Baltimore on July 27th where he went 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs on 2 hits, 2 walks, and 9 K's in the 9-4 Padres win. San Diego has won 3 out of 4 of King's starts in July with the only loss coming at home against the Mariners where the Padres were blanked. King was still good in this one as he went 6.0 allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 3 hits, 1 walk, and 9 K's. Not very notable, but in 13 ABs vs the Pirates they have an average of .000 and a .071 OBP. Usually throw out this stat if it under 30 ABs, but still worth mentioning.

Marco Gonzales for the Pirates. In his last start came against the Diamondbacks where he went 2.1 allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, 2 home runs, and 3 walks. Padres overall hit LHP at .241, but over the last month they rank 8th in BA and 10th in wRC+ against LHP. He has made 6 starts on the season and has allowed 6+ hits in his last 4 starts. Look for Gonzales to continue some woes here today against the Padres.

Take the Padres ML in this one, if you're not willing to take the juice we like this one at -1 as well to safeguard from a hook. We think King continues his road dominance here in Pittsburgh and for the Padres bats to make some noise and give us some run support near the end.
