After yesterday's postponement, we have a double-header today in Cleveland between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Cleveland Guardians. Different starting pitching matchup than we targeted yesterday, but we like this matchup even more. It is Eduardo Rodriguez for the Diamondbacks and Carlos Carrasco for the Guardians. Rodriguez makes his first start as a Diamondback here today as the former Tiger makes his first start of 2024. Not really worth mentioning his last starts, but he has faced off against the Guardians before on October 1st, where he went 7.0 allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, 1 home run, 1 walk, and 5 K's. The Guardians in 70 ABs against Rodriguez hit him at .243 with a .264 OBP. With the Guardians hitting .255 in their last 10, we expect them to push some runs over here on Rodriguez and get into a bullpen that will likely work in Game 1 today. The Guardians rank 12th in the MLB with a .254 average against LHP this season. Don't expect Rodriguez to go pretty far here in this one making his first start of the season and combined with a tired bullpen this one could be high scoring.

Making the start for the Guardians today in Game 2 is Carlos Carrasco. He holds a 3-9 record in 20 starts this season with a 5.53 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP in 99.1 innings. His last start came on August 2nd against the Orioles walks limited his outing going 4.1 innings allowing 1 run on 1 hit, 4 walks, and 5 K's. Against the Phillies on July 27th, he went 3.2 allowing 6 runs on 6 hits, 2 home runs, 1 walk, and 5 K's. The Diamondbacks see RHP well as they rank 11th in the league with a .248 average against RHP and have a history against Carrasco where in 78 Abs they hit him at .269 with a .321 OBP.

Take the over here in Game 2 in Cleveland as we expect both bullpens to be tired after Game 1 leaving less support to two pitchers that will likely need it.
