After a brutal 6 inning hook on the Giants Team Total last night, we turn the page to tonight where we get a spot that is extremely similar to our thesis last night. The Orioles come into this game with one of the best offenses in the MLB, as they are ranked top 5 in almost every major offensive statistic, including team batting average, total hits, Home Runs and runs scored. This team has really found their groove at the plate in the last 6 weeks or so, as they have catapulted to the top of the rankings. We like them to continue their hot hitting tonight against a very favorable pitching matchup.

What caught our eye in this one and reminded us of the Giants against Patrick Corbin was the Orioles career success against Chris Bassitt. In 70 At Bats, the Orioles have amassed 28 hits, good enough for a .400 batting average. Gunnar Henderson has been particularly damaging, with 4 hits in 7 At Bats, with 2 of those being Home Runs, good enough for 5 RBIs. In Bassitt's last start, he faced the Orioles, where he went 4.0 innings, allowing 9 hits and 5 runs. We believe that the Orioles can replicate this and more tonight, as they have Bassitt's number and have proven to be successful against him. The Blue Jays also have the third worst bullpen in the league with a 5.02 ERA and there is significant opportunity for the Orioles to exploit them when Bassitt is out of the game.

We were so close last night with the Giants as they had 4 runs by the third inning and twice in a row had men on second and third with 1 and 0 outs in the later innings to no avail. We think that with a better roster, the Orioles will be able to cash us out when they have those opportunities. Give us 5 Orioles runs early in this one and let's get back on track.
