8/21 Cleveland Guardians @ New York Yankees 7:05pm EST
Over 8 -126 (1u)
Joey Cantillo makes the start for the Guardians and in 3 starts this season he has gone a total of 13.0 innings allowing 9 runs on 15 hits, 4 home runs, 6 walks, and 9 K’s. His last time out came against the Twins where he went 5.2 allowing 3 runs on 5 hits, 2 home runs, 3 walks, and 2 K’s. Not good going into Yankee Stadium allowing as many homers as he has on his young career. Look for the Yankees to launch a couple out of here tonight.
Nestor Cortes for the Yankees who has been a run machine this year. Shut down the White Sox in his last start where he went 7.0 allowing just 3 hits and 9 K’s. Against the Angels on 8/8 he went 4.2 allowing 6 runs on 9 hits, 1 home run, 1 walk, and 2 K’s. He’s faced the Guardians this season way back on 4/14 where he went 4.0 allowing 4 runs on 5 hits, 2 home runs, 1 walk, and 6 K’s. Like runs in this one as both teams are needing to swing some hot bats to overcome some questionable starting pitching.
Over their last 10 games, the Guardians are 6-4 and hitting just .208 over their last 10. The Guardians struggled against the Brewers last series, but last night showed what they have been able to do all season which is rack up hits and get runners home. As for the Yankees, they themselves are sliding a bit right now as they have lost 3-games in a row. They are hitting .243 over their last 10 games and have accumulated 46 runs on 84 hits.
Take the over here in the Bronx as we see both offenses coming out firing today.
