8/20 Baltimore Orioles @ New York Mets 7:10pm EST
Over 7.5 -136 (1u)
Yeah, heading back to this one. RHP Dean Kremer for the Orioles and Jose Quintana for the Mets. Kremer in his last start was good against the Nationals where he went 6.0 allowing 1 run on 5 hits, 2 walks, and 3 K’s. Has not faced the Mets this year, but the Mets have seen him over 31 ABs where they’ve hit him at .226 with a .333 OBP. Think we are able to get another performance like the one against the Guardians where he went 5.0 allowing 4 runs on 6 hits, 2 walks, and 2 K’s.
Over to LHP Jose Quintana. We called his blowup last week against the Athletics, where he went 4.0 allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, 1 home run, 4 walks, and 1 K. He has now allowed 3+ runs in each of his last 3 starts and is starting to go back to how he was at the beginning of the season. Quintana has faced the Orioles over 49 ABs where the O’s average .224 with a .296 OBP.
Some hitting stats here. Against RHP the Mets are 14th in the league hitting .246 and over their last 10 they are 4-6 with a .254 average and have scored 42 runs over 85 hits. Following their walk-off win last night that hooked us, expect some runs here in New York. As for the Orioles, they are 5-5 in their last 10 and have hit .262 scoring 42 runs and 90 hits. Against LHP, the Orioles rank 8th in the league and have hit .259 this season.
