Over the last month and change, the Diamondbacks have been one of the best teams in the entire MLB, if not the best team. Since the All Star Break, they have a 17-5 record, are hitting .293, have scored an average or 6.46 runs across 22 games and have been overall very good at the plate with a .370 team OBP in August. They are hitting .272 at home on the season as this team has really turned it around since June.

Tonight, they face a Rockies pitching staff that they have done well against this year, covering the 4.5 Team Total line in 5 out of 7 games this year, with one loss being a hook. They are averaging 6.43 runs per game against the Rockies this year and we look for more of the same tonight. Arizona has not faced Colorado since early April and this is a much different team overall now. There is some uncertainty as to who is starting for the Rockies tonight after Cal Quantrill has been scratched with some soreness. However, we have had success fading the Rockies pitching staff all season. It’s hard not to love this play with how hot the Dbacks have been as of late, and the overall woes of the Rockies’ pitching staff, including a bullpen that ranks last in the MLB with a 5.64 ERA.
