6/16 Cincinnati Reds @ Milwaukee Brewers 2:10pm EST
Brewers ML -130 (1.5u)
Fool me once, shame on you; Fool me twice, shame on me. Headed back to Milwaukee for the 3rd and final game of this series between the Reds and Brewers. Last night we had the over in the Reds/Brewers game where both teams let us down in a 3-1 Brewers win and Friday we had Brewers ML where the Brewers let us down in the bottom of the 9th. Today, we look to get our lick back on the back of Colin Rea and the Milwaukee Brewers. Milwaukee today will face Frankie Montas. Against RHP this season the Brewers have had success as they rank second in the league, hitting .262 against RHP. Speaking of starting pitching, let's focus on some pitching as we have already covered what these teams offensively are capable of.
(CIN) Frankie Montas (RHP)
12 G / 3-5 / 4.55 ERA / 55.1 IP / 1.39 WHIP
(MIL) Colin Rea (RHP)
11 G / 5-2 / 3.31 ERA / 70.2 IP / 1.26 WHIP
Making his 13th start of the season in Frankie Montas. In his last start against the Cubs on June 9th, Montas went just 1.1 innings allowing 5 hits, 4 runs, 3 walks, and 2 strikeouts on 55 pitches. This coming off a good start in Colorado where Frankie went 7 scoreless innings of 1 hit ball. Prior to this start, Montas went 5 straight starts with allowing 2+ runs and we look for him to do more of this today against the Brewers.
Over to Colin Rea who makes his 12th start of the season for the Brewers. He has been good in his last 3 starts for Milwaukee as he has allowed just 2 runs over the course of those 16.1 innings. His last start came against Toronto on June 10th where he went 7 innings allowing just 3 hits and 1 run which came on a solo shot. We look for Rea to do more of the same as he is the Ace of this Milwaukee rotation and they turn to him to get a series win here today against the Reds at home.
Take Brewers ML in this one as we see the Brewers getting to Montas and into a Reds pen.
