6/15 Los Angeles Angels @ San Francisco Giants 4:05pm EST
Over 8.5 +105 (1u)
We head to the Bay Area and this series between the Angels and Giants in a game that has a lot of potential from an over perspective. We get a favorable pitching matchup between Patrick Sandoval of the Angels, and Keaton Winn of the Giants.
Sandoval has a 5.23 ERA and 1.47 WHIP on the year as he comes into this game with a 2-8 record. In 14 games started, Sandoval has allowed at least 3 runs 7 times. The over is 9-5 to this line during his starts as well. He has had a bit of a walk problem this year, as he averages just over 2 per start, with a high of 5 against the Cincinnati Reds. The Giants have been great against left-handed pitchers this year, as they hit .261 against them, compared to .238 against right-handers. They are hitting .243 at home which is right at their overall season average.
Keaton Winn has left much to be desired for the Giants as he has a 6.94 ERA and 1.35 WHIP on the season. He has allowed 5 or more runs in his last 4 starts as these games have all gone over 8.5 runs. He is susceptible to walks and Home Runs as well, with a long ball allowed in 3 straight games. The Angels have the 8th most Home Runs in the MLB so this could spell trouble for Winn.
With winds blowing out to the Cove at 16mph during this game, we feel that this line is a little underpriced, considering the pitchers who will take the mound this afternoon. Give us 9 runs here and we will take the plus money win.
